About me
It's nice to meet you! As Outreach and Program Director for Open Way Learning, much of my work centers on creating space for co-designing learner-centered shifts in classrooms, schools, and districts. I love to talk about emerging project ideas, adventurous learning, and all the amazing things that happen when we listen (and respond) to what students are telling us. In addition to teaching + curriculum design, I have worked as a biologist and in the mental health world. I have a nine-year-old son and we currently live in Brevard, NC (near Asheville). PS - I also love to chat about ultramarathons, surfing, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, traveling, gardening, and strategies to improve my Spanish.
