Jason Nious is an accomplished performing artist, director, and arts integration specialist. Jason is the founder and director of Molodi, an award-winning Las Vegas-based body percussion ensemble that engages and inspires over 20,000 students annually. Through his work, he brings movement, rhythm, and storytelling to life—showing how the arts can transform learning and deepen connections. Jason's work embodies joyful, immersive learning—the heart of Deeper Learning. His ability to engage, energize, and break down barriers through rhythm and movement aligns powerfully with our theme: play as pedagogy.

Play isn’t just for fun—it’s how we learn best. Jason’s work demonstrates the power of movement, rhythm, and collaboration in fostering deeper learning. Whether through stepping, percussive storytelling, or interactive engagement, he invites us to embrace learning as a full-body experience, where joy and rigor go hand in hand.

Jason’s journey—from NCAA gymnastics and step team leadership to performing with Cirque du Soleil, Stomp, Usher, and Step Afrika—has shaped his unique approach to education and creativity. He is currently an Artist in Residence with the International Museum of Dance, leading ROOTS: The Legacy of Black Percussive Dance in America, a groundbreaking exhibition that celebrates Black percussive dance traditions.

Jason will remind us why we do this work—and why learning should move us, literally and figuratively. Get ready to clap, stomp, move, and connect in ways you’ve never experienced before!
