About me
Founder and Representative Director of the Japanese educational NPO, Kotaenonai Gakko. Through her experience in the parents' association at her daughter's preschool, she founded the NPO in 2014 to promote PBL in Japanese schools. She currently manages a community of over 500 teachers across Japan who are dedicated to progressive education. After graduating from a Japanese university with a B.A. in Political Science, she pursued a Master of Public Administration at Cornell University, where she was struck by the differences in educational systems. From 2014 to 2017, her daughter attended both public and private elementary schools in Texas, and during this period, she took teacher education courses at a local community college. Currently, she collaborates with many educators and schools from around the world such as from the U.S. , Denmark and Sweden. Her publications include Inquiry-Based Learning in Collaboration and Creating Inquiry in Schools.
