“Learning lives in the world”. Our District is a core member of a regional team of educators, industry champions, and non-profit community organizations that are re-defining CTE. We started in a few local schools, and the program has grown across the State of Oregon to more than 100 high schools in just about two years. You can tell a story like that, too. We want to show you how to impact your communities by engaging students in similar projects. In this workshop we will explore the key dispositions and skills of collective action, challenge participants’ understanding of how partnerships between industry, community benefit organizations and education can transform the learning experiences, and finally, help you rapid-prototype a collective action project you can do with your students.
