Participants will learn how to plan for, start, and monitor the implementation of CREW from a practical lens. CREW is a homeroom that becomes a social-emotional learning space wherein students set goals for personal and academic growth and learn to connect. We will share strategies for how to get buy-in from a large staff by modeling an activity for adults focused on all the feelings we want for our learners in schools- belonging, purpose, and collective success. We will share how to use the adult experience to launch a CREW system in a 600 student middle school. The outcome is a happier and more fulfilled workforce and engaged and inspired students. Attendees will participate in some CREW activities and get a practical implementation model for them to take back to their schools.
