Deeper Learning 2025

During my workshop participants are led through several reflective exercises with opportunities for individual time, collaboration, and partner sharing. The session begins with group norms by establishing a “Brave Space” for participants. Then we move into a strategy called reciprocal vulnerability. I model this strategy and then unpack the language needed to describe our relationship with the teaching profession including the stress response, triggers, and trauma. The session ends with a presentation of five strategies that teachers can use throughout their day to mitigate feelings of anxiety and overwhelm. Participants will leave this session with a set of concrete wellness strategies they can draw from and an affirmed investment in creating a sustainable teaching career.
