Deeper Learning 2025

Educators know that disconnected students don’t excel. Engaging students in meaningful learning requires culturally-affirming and emotionally-supportive instructional approaches and practices. But without an understanding about how our own biases, thoughts and actions impact our students, we may be preventing the engagement we seek. In this interactive workshop, we’ll draw on Culturally Responsive/Sustaining and Social-Emotional Learning principles to develop a better understanding of ourselves and our students, and learn how to build connections that stimulate powerful learning.
