We can’t wait to see you!

Thursday April 3, 2025 9:30am - 2:45pm PDT
Participants will learn and design outdoors during this deep dive for an immersive experience in the world. We'll focus on designing opportunities for place-based and outdoor learning for our own communities. We will head out for a half-day outdoor excursion in a nearby San Diego public space (beach or park) to remember and experience the benefits of creativity on learning when we are outdoors. We'll consider the assets and community partners that already exist in our own context and consider ways to help connect learning opportunities with outdoor experiences. During our session, the focus will be on your own local issue with tools and time to design real ways to connect youth with outdoor learning opportunities. From field trips, camping, garden-based learning and more, whether in an urban, rural, or somewhere between setting, come discover ways to support equitable outdoor learning for all kids.

Lunch is included in each deep dive.
